Summer Training Offers

Those with outstanding summer training offers must return them this this week. Otherwise, the position may be reassigned. Offers can be returned in person to the Admin O (Thursday evening, 1 Brouillette Blvd) or via email.


Regular Training - (ACR Practice)

  1. Participants: All Cadets

  2. Date: Thursday, 23 May 2024

  3. Time: 1830 - 2115 hrs

  4. Location: 5 Brouillette Blvd, Nepean, ON K2K 2W6

  5. Dress:  

    1. C1, Full Uniform with medals; or if none

    2. C5, Field Training Uniform (FTU); or if none

    3. Appropriate civilian attire ( i.e. black pants, white shirt or polo, black shoes)

  6. Note on footwear: If you don’t have the FTU boots, cadets can wear an alternate pair of black shoes or boots with either uniform.

  7. Note on supply requests: While notes will be taken during inspection on missing uniforms/pieces, it is still necessary to submit a supply request by filling out this form.

Rifle Road Clean-Up

Every year we participate in the Cleaning Up the Capital campaign by cleaning Rifle Road (the entrance road to Connaught). This is a great chance for cadets to give back to the community; volunteer hours are available.

  1. Date: Sun, 26 May 2024

  2. Time: 0900 - 1200 hrs

  3. Location: Drop off and pick up at the parking lot before the Shirley's Bay and Malibar Road Corner. (See red pinned location below)

  4. Dress: Appropriate civilian attire for the weather

  5. Material to bring:

    1. Filled water bottle (to be carried in a back pack, or other way to keep hands free)

ACR - Info for Cadets

Our Annual Ceremonial Review will be held Saturday, June 1st 2024 at the John G. Mlacak Community Centre (2500 Campeau Drive, Ottawa, ON K2K2W3).

  1. Time for cadets: Arrive for 0900

  2. Dress: Appropriate civilian attire for practice, cadets will be able to change into their uniform before the parade.

  3. Material to bring:

    1. Filled water bottle

    2. Healthy lunch

    3. Uniform as follows:

      1. C1, Full Uniform with medals; or if none

      2. C5, Field Training Uniform (FTU); or if none

      3. Appropriate business civilian attire ( black pants, white shirt or polo, black shoes)

  4. Absences: If you are unable to attend, please send a notice to CI McLean.

ACR - Info for families/friends

The 64th Annual Ceremonial Review marks the end of the 2023-2024 training year where we celebrate our cadets' achievements in a formal parade setting. Often referred to as the "cadet version of a piano recital", it is the cadets' opportunity to stand together in front of an audience of those who support them and celebrate the past training year. There will be awards and speeches presented during the parade.

  3. When: Saturday, June 1st 2024

  4. Doors open: 1230

  5. Be seated by: 1300


Upcoming band activities for the rest of the training year have been added to the Calendar. If you need any more information on these please refer to your emails or reach out to Warrant Officer Driscoll.

Squadron Sponsoring Committee Bursary

Heading off to post secondary in the fall? The 706 Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) allocates a part of its budget each year to award post-secondary education bursaries to one or more cadets selected through our bursary application process.

Air Cadet Young Aces 50/50 (New for 2024!)

Parents, guardians and friends (18+) can help support our Squadron and Air Cadets province wide by purchasing 50/50 tickets. For more information and to purchase tickets visit this link. 


  1. Absences: If you are unable to make it to training, fill out this form before your planned activity to be marked as excused.

  2. Cadet365 Accounts:

    1. Get help: Cadets should contact the Administration Officer CI McLean if they are experiencing issues.

    2. Newly Registered Cadets: They will automatically receive their account information at the email address on file once they are created.


  1. CI Stevens will advise cadets on Thursdays if they have a uniform to pick up.

  2. To make a uniform request please fill out this form.

706 Canteen

  1. Bring your spare change, purchase a snack and support 706.

  2. Your snack cravings directly support cadet activities.

Letter to Parents-Guardians from the Squadron Sponsoring Committee


Due to limited space and lighting at Connaught, please follow the parking flow map and instructions below:

  1. Enter via Vickers Gun Rd, then turn left on Brouillette Blvd

  2. Drop-off/pickup occurs on Brouillette Blvd after Lewis Gun Rd (near Squadron HQ).

  3. For pickup at the end of the night, park in the parking lot (not on Brouillette Blvd). Use caution when exiting the parking lot.

  4. IMPORTANT: Exercise caution and patience when driving in this area, as there are many cadets in the parking lot.

  5. Exit via Sir Sam Hughes Rd

Drivers are reminded to slow down.

  1. Posted speed limits at Connaught:

    1. 50 km/h on Malibar Blvd,

    2. 30 km/h in all other areas.

  2. Speed limits are strictly enforced by Military Police.
