Tonight's (Feb 15) training is proceeding

Tonight training is proceeding, but just like any other training night, it is not mandatory. As noted in the ECCC advisory, if you attend the evening, please take care when driving or walking in areas affected by snowfall.

ECCC weather statement

15 February 2024 : Winter weather travel advisory in effect. Heavy snow expected late today.

Hazards: Reduced visibility in heavy snow. Total snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 cm. Peak snowfall rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour.

Timing: Late this afternoon and this evening.

Discussion: An area of heavy snow will push through the region during the late afternoon and evening hours today. The majority of snowfall accumulations may fall within just a few hours due to high snowfall rates. Heavy snow will taper to light flurries late in the evening. Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
